Fair Usage
To keep UploadGadget running smoothly for everyone, each plan comes with monthly usage allowances. This page explains how they work.
No surprise cut-offs. We don't automatically block uploads when you hit a limit. If your usage regularly exceeds your plan, we'll reach out to find a solution together.
Plan Allowances
Your monthly upload allowance depends on your subscription tier:
| Plan | Uploads per Month | Max File Size | File Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core | 5,000 | 100 MB | Up to 30 days |
| Plus | 15,000 | 200 MB | Up to 90 days |
| Pro | 50,000 | 1 GB | Up to 365 days |
How Uploads Are Counted
An upload is counted when a customer successfully submits a file through the widget on your store. This includes files from any source - their device, camera roll, cloud storage, or social media.
Going Over Your Allowance
We review usage on a monthly basis. If you exceed your plan's allowance, we'll reach out to discuss your options.
Expecting a busy period? Holiday rush or seasonal peak coming up? We recommend upgrading to a plan that matches your expected volume beforehand - this ensures smooth operation during your busiest times.
If you go over your limit:
- We'll email you with your usage data
- We'll suggest a plan that fits better
- Your store keeps working while we sort it out
Reasonable Use
UploadGadget is built for e-commerce - customers uploading files for their orders. Using it as general-purpose file hosting or for non-order-related bulk storage isn't what it's designed for, and we may need to chat if we spot that kind of activity.
